I prefer measuring in mm, fractions are cumbersome especially when adding or subtracting different fraction components. For string height, get the measuring tape with the window display on the side from Pianotek.

There was a discussion about string height gauges a while back and the gauge from Renner was mentioned. Also a question of whether it's available. It is, though it's not so apparent on their website. It's available in English or Metric scale, so my question is: Beyond what one is more comfortable reading, is there any reason to get one scale over the other?
