    Hello everyone,

I am in a newly created piano tech position at a university. We will be moving into a new music building next year and I have been asked to create a budget showing all the equipment I should have in my new shop/office space. I am talking about the larger power tools that would be considered "equipment" by the university. Or anything that is expensive, like the fancy regulating table that was discussed recently. Since I am new to the university tech thing, I thought I had better ask what shop tools you guys and gals would suggest I should have on my list. I need to provide prices or even a website showing the item with price, so if you highly recommend a certain brand or website, please let me know.

I am also creating a list of every tool and supply the university should get over time so that I am not using all of my personal stuff, but that is a separate issue from what I am asking here.

    Thanks!

Also, selecting a really nice heavy duty extra large regular workbench will be critical. Mine is like 3" thick hard rock maple and has a nice vice fastened to it, but a nice wood-working vice and possibly peg holes for clamping different length items might be a big plus!
