    Hello all,

Our friend and regular contributor to many communities here on the PTG website, Keith McGavern, RPT, passed away today in his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He had his 71st birthday just 10 days ago.  We will write up a tribute for the Journal but wanted to let those of you know who have e-conversed regularly with him here.  Please keep his wife Carol in your thoughts and prayers.  He will be greatly missed in our Central Oklahoma Chapter.

    Respectfully submitted,

Gary - I have always enjoyed reading Keith's Posts - in fact there was one just a few days ago which I'll paste right here, for it shows the essence of this young man.  (I am older by about a decade - pause for thought!)   Michael   UK

Funny stuff, Kevin, not the flooding, not at all, but the "guy" who did his prank, and then posted it on Facebook.

Well, we all do dumb stuff in our lives. For some reason there is immense forgiveness available for some it seems, but for others, it seems they had no chance from the get-go. Such is the mystery of certain things.

I must confess, however, I am one who has received immense forgiveness for past deeds in the life I have lived thus far.

So, I wouldn't want anyone to believe for one moment that I don't know how I have behaved through the years, and recognize the immense forgiveness I have received, wholeheartedly embrace, and is I am today in a most loving and forgiving community for the majority of my life.

    Had to share,

    Gary,

    Very, very sad news.

I have very much enjoyed Keith's posts over the years; and have great
respect for him as a human being.

We need more like him, and not just in this profession.

    Peace.

    Horace

Keith was a gem. I met him once at a convention and we communicated over the years a small amount. Always you could feel his humanity and good wishes for everyone. A fine example to attempt to emulate. I am glad I had the opportunity to share some of life with him.
