       Hello to all,

For many of you that may not know, I have retired from active duties in
my cherished world of piano/musical instrument technology.

You may note, from the address above, that I have made a major move
from my long time residence in Blue Point, Long Island to the Isle of
Man, something that took considerable effort, yet a dream I have
       finally come to realise.

       My reason for writing:

Being a very strong advocate of continued education in the field of
Piano Technology, from North Bennet Street School, Dowd Harpsichord,
Steinway & Sons New York, to my private one-on-one classes in Blue
Point, I now find myself in a quandary; How should I continue this very
       important training?

Having been instrumental in the development of one of the worlds
largest collections of historic and modern keyboard museums, with the
       Cantos Music
Foundation in Calgary, Alberta, Canada , I had the pleasure of meeting
       Bob Moffatt.

During my two years plus in Calgary, Bob and I
developed a very close rapport. Following is a brief account of his
       credentials:

Bob was factory trained by Yamaha for one year in 1974, followed by a
three year apprenticeship with Yamaha Canada. He then taught
PianoTechnology with the Hal T. M. Lyne School of Piano Technology
through Advanced Education and Manpower Canada. In 1985, after
several months of intense training with Mr. Stephan Romeo, Head of
the Rebuild Department, Steinway & Sons New York, Bob pursued a
full time career in concert work, piano conservation, and
restoration and rebuilding, which he maintains to this day.
I believe that Bob's expertise in grand piano/harpsichord and forte
piano regulation, voicing, and overall problem solving is second to
none. Over the last while, I have recommended Bob at a private
level, to continue where I left off. I wish to do so now publicly.
Anyone wishing to further their skills in these areas, I commend
           him to you.
           Bob can be reached at:
