  • 1.  Seek Kimball upright damper plates

    My supply of Kimball upright damper plates (same as the hammer butt plate but with spring) is dwindling. Today I took on a job that requires nine. Schaff (from whom I received the few I have) no longer lists them. Does anyone know a supplier, or have a few left over from a previous life of servicing the now obsolete?

    HI Bill,
    I seem to recall making those up when I needed them?  It requires only the right small drill bit and a spring cut to the proper length (maybe a drop of CA to stabilize the spring once inserted).
