No.  Bosendorfer has a production number which corresponds to a serial number, they aren't the same.  The piano, I believe is 276-- which puts it in the neighborhood of 1957, which would be about right but if any one has that data base I'd appreciate if you could verify which number that corresponds to.  I have a Pierce Atlas but they only have the serial numbers.

    David,

Have you tried to contact recently-retired Bosendorfer Service Manager for North America, Ray Chandler? Ray still works with them on a consulting basis.

Ray Chandler could probably help you, but, since Yamaha owns Bösendorfer my first call would be to Yamaha tech support.

There are two sets of numbers on a Bösendorfer. I believe the single five or six digit number is a production number. However, the hyphenated number is the one you're looking for. The numbers on the left will cross-reference to the year of manufacture while the numbers on the right represent the number of pianos they have made of that model. Finding the model number has always been the hardest thing for me to find on a Bösendorfer.
