I've just acquired a Yamaha G2 Ebony Satin and I'm doing alot of work on.  But it's missing the treble-end cheek block.  This is something I've never dealt with.  Will Yamaha provide one with a serial number?  Or should attempt to make one (which is highly unlikely)?  What do you guys do for missing cheek blocks?

Before you ask... the piano came out of a teaching university and the students have completely destroyed this piano, which should explain the missing cheek block.

By all means give Yamaha Parts a phone call.  They should be able to give you an answer quickly.  (I'd supply the phone number, but since I'm in Canada I'm dealing with a different office than you.)

Parts that are not stocked on this side of the pond can be ordered, but you'll wait a while.  But the rest of the work on this piano is going to take a while anyway.

As long as it is not a gray market piano they will provide parts.
