Thanks, Don, 'caster socket' it is, indeed :) I felt all along that my Swedish-to-English translation was a bit too literal, but I couldn't come up with the right terms off the top of my head.
And thank you so much for the information you provided!
The reason I asked is that I've learned the hard way that you can save yourself some trouble knowing that there are no hidden surprises waiting on site. Confirmation from you is naturally a 100% go, so I'll order the parts and drill new holes.
Best Regards,
Patrick

Subject: Wheel housing for Kawai KG-2?
Wheel housing is not a common term – do you mean caster socket?
The caster socket is the part that inserts up into the leg, and the caster has a stem that extends up into the socket.
These are made as a complete assembly, socket and caster are locked together. The new casters will fit the older pianos but you will need to drill new mounting holes for the screws that hold the socket into the leg.
The parts book is available for download here with drawings and part numbers: http://www.kawaius-tsd.com/pages/PDF_Download.html
To order parts in North America, call 800-421-2177 and ask for piano parts.

Hi all, does anybody know the dimensions of the wheel (caster) housing in an older Kawai grand model, KG-2, and/or if they can be replaced by the housing in other models (GE-30, RX-2)?

Patrick
