    Came across an interesting research paper in the journal Engineering Failure Analysis and thought it might be of interest here. I'm always fascinated with scientific research into the materials we use daily in pianos!

    Thanks for the link. Interesting article, once you get through the fractured English. A little disappointing in its lack of depth and detail, but still has some items of note. Great high magnification photos.
