Is it possible to buy one key or have it made? Someone vandalized a
practice room piano. They split off a big chunk of the key and took
it. You can see the impact cracks in the key, so it looks like it got
    hit pretty hard.

I've had Mike Morvan at Blackstone Valley Piano make a few replacement keys for me and he's done a great job.

You could repair that. Remove keytop, cut the key square along the break, glue on an appropriate size piece of wood, dress to size as needed, install new keytop. Not that hard a job, and I would think a lot less trouble and expense than getting a new key made.

You can't just run out and buy one at the local piano supply store but they are not all that hard to make. If you have access to an appropriate wood, a band saw and a drill press it's not a terribly difficult chore. I just had my apprentice make two of them for an experiment I'm conducting.
