  • 1.  Oscillating edge sanders

    Hi-

    Turns out there are enough funds left in my budget to pursue a much needed upgrade of my old belt/disc sander in the shop.  I've been looking into models and have got interested in a floor standing, Oscillating edge sander from Jet.  Have any of you used one these in your shop? A lot of wood workers seem to report that once you switch to an oscillating sander you will never look back, but our applications are a little different than typical wood workers.  I have a high priority on effective dust collection, since I've suffered too many years without, and we just recently got the Jet DC1100VX-CK.  It's great.

    I have a Rigid Oscillating Spindle Sander which has an edge sander feature. The OSS is great for hammer reshaping. I use the OES for player pneumatics.
