A long time artist-client of mine was performing last week one in recital series at one of the local venues. He was performing a Beethoven Sonata, and was just coming to the recapitulation, when his right hand suddenly stopped functioning. He kept playing with the left hand, but kept starring down at the limp right hand. Then he turned to the audience with a blank stare, head went back and fell backwards, almost in slow motion. Luckily his physician was in the audience and went to work on him immediately.
He suffered a major stroke and now is in for the fight of his life in ICU. His head hit the floor very hard which caused a massive hemorrhage, plus his left side is completely paralyzed.
