    Greetings Fellow Piano Technicians,

The Piano Technicians Guild Foundation is delighted to announce that the video of our event at the Denver convention celebrating the father of our profession, Claude Montal, is now available online. Visit https://youtu.be/oyta_IwGCBI

You may have already seen the 90 minute DVD, “A Glimpse Into Montal’s Paris,” at a meeting of your local PTG chapter. Now you may watch it at will, and share it readily with anyone you know who may be interested in this engaging look into 19th century Paris, where the piano reigned supreme. Claude Montal is one of the most significant and remarkable figures in the history of the piano in general, and of piano servicing in particular.

A shout out is in order to Joyce Meekins, RPT, who created a YouTube channel for the PTG Foundation and posted the video on it. She also produced the event documented in the video, which features Fred Sturm, RPT, the translator of Montal’s epic tome, “The Art of Tuning,” among other speakers and performers.

We hope you will find this video both edifying and enjoyable (and that you will think fondly of the Foundation as you do!),

Thanks for posting this info Alan.

I have often thought PTG should rename the "Golden Hammer" award to The C. Montal Golden Hammer. He is the father of our profession.
