Position:Specialized Faculty in Piano Technology
Rank/Salary:Specialized Teaching Faculty I, 12-month appointment. Salary competitive.
Qualifications:Significant experience as a concert piano technician with a strong commitment to teaching and recruitment of outstanding students. Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities:Teach graduate level advanced piano technology and undergraduate/graduate introductory courses in piano technology. Along with the piano technology shop manager, oversee a 240 piano inventory including historical keyboards. Tune, maintain, and rebuild selected faculty studio, seminar room, and concert venue pianos. Direct graduate assistants in piano inventory maintenance and tuning. Other duties include project management and procurement.

The College of Music, with 90 faculty, 40 support staff, and 1,000 students, offers a wide range of degrees in music, baccalaureate through the doctorate.
