Debbie, Karl and Kevin,
Thanks for the tips!
Daniel,
Thanks for the offer!
A colleague had these parts go MIA on a rebuild. I cannibalized the pair off a Stwy B, and mentioned that I would order a dozen (so as to not find myself in need of these again). He said that he would pay for the entire order, including shipping. So, I thought it would be as simple as calling the mother ship in Astoria, placing an order and getting reimbursed.
Under the circumstances, I would still prefer to purchase some of these babies ready-made, if anyone has some they could part with, rather than going DIY.

Alan,
If you don't find someone with spares, but you can get some photos/measurements, I can very likely machine some new ones for you.

Greetings,
Steinway used to use a piece of hardware that screwed into the rim to stop their music desks from going too far back. About ten years ago, they changed to a different design. They no longer carry what I am calling music desk stop screws. (They resemble the keyframe end-pins that mount in the front rail and are held down by the key blocks, except that those are square while the music desk stops are round, and have a piece of tuning that the music desk would contact, when pushed back far enough to meet this part.)
If anyone has two or more of these that hey would be willing to part with, I am eager to acquire them!
Best,
Alan
