the little guy in the middle, on the stack foot. Phillips doesn't work well.

same here, though a #3 phillips works well on the flange screws

Hard to tell from the pic, did you try a square tip?

Didn't try a square tip,  as it does not look square at all in the center. I'll try though.

Combination looks like the right name. On the small one, I just re-tried square, pozi and several sizes of phillips and slot. The only one of that worked is a simple slot driver. On the large flange screws, a 3 phillips and pozi worked.

Mark, could you show a pic of that flange screw head on? That screw seems to have the Pozidriv scores, while the ones I posted does not have the additional Pozi scores.

yup...that is a different animal than what I have here. I believe mine is simply a combination head as Jon suggested. This action is of Asian origin, probably China.  What is yours...Renner?

Hi Jim, Yes Renner Pozidriv. Great screw for certain era Steinways with squirrelly drill jobs. Used with Renner parts these screws will compinsate for a lot of drilling error, but no help for corkscrew rails. Give them a try.
    All the best
