    Greetings,

As you may recall, I have a client who has been looking for a high-quality 7 1/2 to 9 foot piano with a versatile enough sound palette to play everything from classical repertoire to contemporary bombast, at a price he can afford. (Fazioli, Steingraber and Bosendorfer, all pianos he likes, are simply out of his reach financially.)

Estonia looks very promising as a lower-priced alternative, but he has also been interested in Schimmels, which are similarly hard-to-find. My client, on whose behalf I recently inquired about large Estonia pianos of recent vintage, traveled from L. A. to Phoenix yesterday to play some (more) Schimmels. He was really impressed with the instruments he tried, and is in negotiation for a model K230.

A big shout out to NIck Gravagne, RPT, who did such a great job prepping these fine instruments, and discussing in meaningful terms what could be done to customize the feel of the action to my client's preferences. Nick, Danny called me on his way back to the airport in Phoenix, overcome by that "good feeling where it really counts" he got from the instruments under your care that he auditioned. You are truly a credit to our profession!
