    Hi All,

I inquired a couple years ago about rebuilders in the southeast.  There was somebody with great reviews around Atlanta. Could somebody please remind me who that might be?

    Thanks

    Paul

    Paul,
Could you be thinking of Piano Works, in Duluth, Ga? They have a comprehensive web site detailing the restoration services they provide. Your first contact might be Don Bennett, or his son, Sam Bennett. https://www.pianoworks.com/grand-restoration/

I've been on the road for two days. First  to Atlanta then to a little wonderful town called Banner Elk, NC. Frantic the whole time because i wanted to get out of North Carolina since a major hurricane is due. But alas I worried for no reason.
    But still, it's a hurricane.
Picked up two pianos for restoration in Atlanta, then in Banner Elk, i picked up a Steinway S.  I was so tired when I arrived home, that I sure am glad my handy tractor does all the work unloading.Steinway on a tractor
Then I took the following picture of the Soundboard.
    loose ribs
You could drive a tractor through them there gaps, i'm sure.
Well if you'll excuse me, i have some soundboards to make.
    Cheers!!

    Mr. Williams,

The Bennett family at PianoWorks do high quality restorations. Unless I'm mistaken Mr. Chernobieff in Tennessee is in the re-building business as well and has a clerestory shop and key pounding machine to boot.
