Does Garfield Pin Block Restorer work as well with a 2nd or 3rd application?   I've used pin block restorer 1st application with great success.  I have a new customer with a grand piano that shows someone else has already treated the pins and I don't know how long ago.  Customer not interested in new pin block.

Gordon, pin block restorer does have some further effect the 2nd or 3rd time, but I find that a few drops of CA glue (only on the really loose tuning pins, since the stuff is toxic) is far superior. Also, I've found that CA works just fine on pinblocks which have already had pinblock restorer used. I'm assuming "restorer" is basically glycerine thinned with alcohol so it can sink it. It is hygroscopic, which keeps the pinblock plumped up with water. Since exposure to humidity or something wet makes CA set up very fast, the treatment with CA might even work faster after a block has been treated with pin block restorer. And you don't have the mess, or the wait.
