Following the theme of integrating pianos and farming with salvaging, i am training grapes to climb a Cable Grand piano string frame. We'll see how it looks later in the year!

Casting about for grapes I see!

I suggest removing the agraffes. They most probably contain some lead. I know it will take decades for any to leach out appreciably, (but as some of you know well by now my long time mantra); "less lead is better". Plus you may need that type sometime down the road.

Brass is a alloy consisting of copper and zinc. No lead - or at least I've never heard of anyone incorporating lead into brass.
