There are so many second career folks in piano land, there must be some electrical engineer out there I could hire to help me with a relatively simple ( I think) electrical engineering design. Any leads appreciated.

My dad is an electrical engineer and loves small projects like that. What are you interested in making?

    Phillip,

Could you PM me your dad's contact info?

I am doing the final refinements on a highly portable, under 20lbs, height adjustable, action cart. It gets an action, on-site or in-shop, out of the piano with zero lifting, then actuates and raises the action to varying ergonomic working heights, as well as tilts 20 degrees to ergonomically adjust capstans. Zero assembly time to use the tool, ultra light rolling resistance. I've been working on it for a year. Its basically done. I've been using it, along with its mating super-lightweight, portable dip replicating table, to prove it, and put it through the paces. I am absolutely loving it. Its getting close to marketing release.

The current version plugs into a wall receptacle. A cordless version would be a great improvement, and thus the electrical engineer request...as I am having trouble getting the cordless version under the strict weight limits I have imposed on this design.
