3Tf5BS8vTsGqGhoWHmut_0727181211a_Film2.jpgI have a Yamaha upright action with several sections where the hammer flange pins keep migrating. I've pushed some back over and tightened the metal flange but they keep migrating. Does anyone have a fix for this?

The birdseye, in which in this case is the slot and plate, is too small for the center pin. The only solution is a thicker center pin. Then ream the bushing.

How about a narrow strip of paper for the pin to press into the groove and take up the slack? Unless the bushings are loose too.

Yes, I've just been working on them a bit and found the center pin way loose in the flange bushings. Larger pin should do the trick. Some of them have migrated out so far they are going into the flange next to it !
