I have been using Flitz paste for well over a decade for metal polishing. The other day I noticed on the tube that it also works for plastic and fiberglass. So I tried it on my headlights. It worked great! See the before and after pictures. It took about 10 minutes per headlight, using disposable blue "shop" paper towels with a circular motion.

Note: from my reading, it seems that headlights will benefit from a UV sealer/protectant to keep them from getting yellowed as quickly. Something like this from Meguiar's. I will observe what happens without any sealer, and then apply the protectant next time.

Wow! If I hadn't seen those pictures from someone I trusted, I'd think you were pulling my leg. Nicely done and thanks for the tip!

Blue Magic also works. I'll bet many other metal polishes do as well.
