Well I see I got an overwhelming zero number of responses. Here's what I've had to resort to.
There's a tech in northern WI that lists one of the parts I need according to the image. I haven't placed that order yet.
I found a Kimball from the era for sale and paid a visit to it to verify that it has the parts I need. It's a 1910 and has an intact action that would supply me all I would need for the rest of my career. He's not had any response to his ad except for mine. I hope to retrieve the action only for the taking. We'll so how this pans out.
Kimball made roughly about 20,000 pianos a year for awhile and was the biggest piano manufacturer at the time according to sources. With that many of them out there we're bound to run into the need for these parts. A VERY long time ago I ordered some and still have a few in stock. Schaff has stopped carrying these for some time now.
This particular piano has had parts taken from higher notes to fix lower notes. They haven't had any service on it for over 40 years but as they approach retirement they are considering getting it functional again. I'm having
some fun chasing parts. We'll see where this goes. So far it's only cost me a beer or two sitting in my warm and dry office and a visit to a home near a scheduled call.
