Bio

My father was a piano tuner, and he made me start working on pianos when I was 17. When I was 22, I got my first job as a piano technician , at a music store. I learned much more about the work at this facility, including piano rebuilding.
After 4 years, I became independent again, and then I worked independently for a a different music store for 15 years.
I need to increase my technical knowledge and skill. That's why I recently joined the PTG. Despite tuning for over 35 years, I'm still slow and may always be. I just now got an ETD, but I don't have any unrealistic expectations for it.
I service pianos approximately 2000 hrs./year, but my mind grows weary of it. My remedy is to take-on a menial-labor job during certain parts of the year, just for a respite.
I have time for no other hobbies, but to write letters to my relatives.
