    Hi everyone!
    I am starting a rebuild on a 1955 M&H console and I'd like to replace the bass dampers with original type.  Does anyone know where I can find this type of damper (see attached photo). I don't recall seeing them at Schaff or other suppliers.

    Buy a good strip of felt, cut this in pieces of the right size, soak the old felt off, clean the wooden parts. After you let it dry you cover the pieces of wood with red felt, cut the excess felt off, glue on the damper felt. While the felt soaks off and the wood dries, do something else.

    I have original strips of those M&H single string bass dampers that came from the factory here in East Rochester. I could send you a strip if you would like to use them. There’s 60 single dampers per strip.
