    I was wondering how useful people have found this tool?  In what situations have you used it? Are there any particular techniques or words of caution regarding the tool? Thanks in advance.

    I don't care for them. There are other and better ways to deal with recalcitrant hammers.     I have had surprisingly good results on Steinway hammers. Squeezing in the area of 10 to 11 on the proximal side produced the sound I was looking for without losing power. Doesn't always work but that time it did. Two or three squeezes did it.

    The reason I ask is I've seen several different types of pliers used for this type of voicing.  Flat surface, needle equipped, and slip joint tongue-and-groove.
