Hi Phil, why not call Willard directly? He used to have a method of
using delrin of specific thickness to get the voicing very close from
the beginning. He'd be the one to talk to if you really need new jacks
as well. This is what I have but it may be out of date..

If you clip the plectrum close to but not flush with the tongue you can
use the flat side of your flush cutters to push it through. Or in a
really stubborn case a small jewelers screwdriver. It's tapered so will
come easy if you just get it started.
