Paul Brown just uploaded a scan of the March, 1962 Journal to the Tuner Technician Magazine Archives (viewable by PTG members only). It includes an article by Sigurd Sabathil on the clavichord, and announces that in the next issue there will be an article on the spinet and virginal. Presumably one or two additional ones on larger harpsichords will follow. This is a rare inside look at one of the more problematic makes of 20th century harpsichords, seen at the moment when it was being made.

Paul has been accelerating his work, so the next issues might be there within the next month.

    Interesting article!

"It is unlikely that a Clavichord needs any other adjustments or repairs as described above, but if there is any special problem, the manufacturer will always be ready to give you advice."

He didn't mention the ultimate deterioration of the foam rubber...I have a Sabathil clavichord, and fortunately, getting rid of the foam rubber was not a problem, since it didn't have nearly as much as their harpsichords have!

    Thanks for sharing!
