Any one know if he is still supplying parts? If not, didnt Fred Sturm have a spring replacement technique for these? I hate to think about replacing jacks just for a half dozen broken springs...

The email Ed Sutton gave is current. I think he can supply some tongues - he was talking about doing a new mold, but I'm not sure that happened.

To add a metal spring to a delrin tongue, saw a kerf (xacto saw) in line with the missing spring. Drill a tiny hole at the top end of the kerf. Make a small bend in the end of some thing wire (.009" or so). Insert the bend into the hole, lay wire in the kerf. Take a soldering iron of some sort and melt some of the delrin to secure the wire in place. Cut the wire to length and make appropriate bends, including a curve for where it will bear on the jack.

Thanks guys, reached him and had a good email discussion about his instruments in South Louisiana. Zuckermann is supplying his jacks and tongues now. And thanks to Fred, I was over thinking the whole thing, visualizing two holes and a knot, and using a soldering iron had never occurred to me. I used .012 brass cause I had it handy and it worked perfectly.
