Hi Victor. If I'm not mistaken, this noise is occurring as you play the piano manually. There's supposed to be a 1mm clearance between the under key felt and the plunger tip as I recall.
If plunger tips are getting hard with age that may be where the noise is coming from. As Jon suggested, there's supposed to be a felt pad between the under side of the key and the plunger. If the rubber tips are getting hard they may be clicking on the metal push rod of the plunger.
If the player is no longer used, have a QRS player technician lower the mechanism sufficiently so as to clear the keys enough to eliminate the noise. This can be done inside the enclosure. You could accomplish this yourself ....... it's not that involved.

Subject: Noisy key return w/ QRS system
Hello everyone,
I have a Yamaha G1 retrofitted with a QRS system many years ago and when one plays and the returns it clicks on the solenoid.
Is there something I can do to get rid of the clicking sound? It sounds like the key is hitting a piece of wood almost and one cannot get away with it by just living with it.
Of course I am trying to think of a simple quick solution but I am not experienced it the player systems.
Thank you
