There is an upside to that tragedy. A 17 year old piano has a 17 year old soundboard. To an experienced concert technician, soundboard deterioration can be detected in as little as 4 years. Despite Angela's emotional shock of her destroyed piano, she may find an emotional pathway to reconcile her loss when she plays and hears a new Fazioli. How I wish a fully insured piano mover might destroy my 19 year old Steinway "D".
