Since I have a refinishing shop, I just use materials i already have on hand. My go to that works real well for me is to use a water based floor finish and add black pigment (or any color really). It transfers really nice and cleans up easily, or you can just leave it there as it will dry.

I've always used chalk with acetone. I can do two or three fittings before having to apply more. It dries in seconds. I clean the edge of the flange off with straight acetone and paper towels when I'm finished.
