I've been fascinated with the 1913 early editions of "The Tuner's Magazine" and want to express my thanks and gratitude to those who made it possible for me to read them. The history presented is  beyond extraordinary!

The word "awesome" is so over used today but it's the right word. Awesome things were happening in the US and in the world in 1913 just as they are today and there is much to be gained, let me  say it again, there is so MUCH to be gained from reading our history, not just as piano tuners, but as U.S. and world historians.

These magazines give us  a glimpse into life in the piano industry in 1913 as well as politics in 1913 and the mind boggling thing in my opinion is not only how much, but how little has changed in the world!

Indeed, there is nothing new under the sun... well maybe cell phones.

I've often thought that piano tuners were uniquely qualified to solve more problems in this world than just temperaments and octaves.

As tuners we know stuff! Good mathematical stuff and universal things that can be applied to so much more than simply tuning pianos.  Th piano  tuners of 1913 were clearly of the same mind because they invented and published an  international governmental system to prevent wars and resolve differences.  Their optimism is apparent in every sentence of every page.

I wish I could go back in time and talk with them.  I would quote Jimi Hendrix and inform them that only when the power of love exceeds the love of power will there be peace on earth. But we're still learning that.

Thank you PTG archivers for making this history accessible. It's amazing!

I'm in the process of downloading all of them to my hard drive. I'm done with 1913 and moving on to 1914.   Did I mention this was utterly fascinating and the people involved in making it possible should be roundly applauded?  Wow! Great job and thank you  PTG history buffs and archivists  :)

Please forgive my ignorance but where are these located? I have never been able to find them and other archived journals.

Just to be clear, I'm not talking about the regulars Journal PDF but the archived old historical magazines.
