So here are two piano concerti that have been favorites for  many years,  Schumann A minor and Brahms  No 1  D minor. I'd recommend headphones and a healthy/high volume !!.. two of my very favorite pianists, Helene Grimaud and Yuja Wang,  here its Wang  playing the Brahms and Grimaud the Schumann, there are You Tubes  though of them playing  the other concerto.....enjoy...martin.

Alas not piano music. However, this Brit baroque tenor, Charles Daniels,  who is not well known or sold in the media, rings my aesthetic bell...I love what he's doing. The modulations his voice goes through in the space of a phrase to my ears, are just wonderful.

Also a recent and entire Bach output series of the Netherlands Bach Society, on youtube is my constant companion in the shop...which is on my home property...so I'm still in the shop, messing about during shelter at home.

    Excellent choices, Martin

Yuja Wang has an excellent recording of the Tchaikovsky Second Concerto recorded in Russia. (wearing more than usual ...)

sorry music lovers (and I do love music)- I listen to audio books. I find Terry Pratchet (humor/fantasy) particularly well written, amusing, and I'm a fan of his philosophy.

Terry Pratchet is a crazy man! In an inspired way. Thanks for reminding me that I should fish a couple of his books out of the big stacks waiting for triage.

I've been listening to Kimberly Starkey's album "Dream."  Mostly the title track, which has elements of the Romantic era.  The rest of the album is mostly new age style but definitely worth listening to.  I heard her play at a customer's house concert last year.  On Youtube.

For something COMPLETELY different, there's The Muffs' "Sad Tomorrow.  The lead singer Kim Shattuck passed away late last year.  Kooky and wonderful video on Youtube.

Pandora app Alt Country station while drilling out corroded key leads (perhaps more on that elsewhere). Kind of a relief to only worry about lead poisoning for a while.

Jim...nice..... a few years ago I was recommending this to all and sundry  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa2vzx-aNrw  Iestyn Davies is  real favorite  and ''Eternal Source of Light Divine"  phew , there's a comparison  to the timbre  and tonality of his voice to the very best set of hammers that we (collectively)   have installed  when we don't quite know the results  but  as work progresses know that this piano is a special one...........martin,

I was trying to remember a song from my college days so my wife and I started listening to top songs of 1970, then 1971, then 1969.  Not exactly the classical stuff but fun to listen to.

    Mr. Bruce
The late, great and much lamented Merle Haggard released "Okie from Muskogee" and "Working Man Blues" in 1969 and "Fightin Side of Me" in1970 if that helps
