What are some of your favorite art pieces you've seen made from piano parts? If you have pictures to share that would be great!

At Western Iowa Tech in the late 70's we made Christmas tree ornaments from action parts. Colorful. Some that twirled on stretched out tuning pin coils, bichord dampers glued together around a tuning pin, stuff like that. Sorry, no pictures.

Over the years I have made and given away to friends at BU  and multiple special customers hundreds of key rings using new and used hammers (new hammers mostly extras from high treble or at tenor  break) usually snip 1/4 inch off the  hammer tail  so it doesn't interfere with the actual key ring.

I also remember someone from the Indianapolis chapter---who?---that made sculptures out of bass hammers, by cutting them in strategic places. I am remembering a swan but there were others.

I think I remember those, Cindy. Weren’t they featured on a PTJ cover lo these many years ago?

Not our  ornaments, but probably someone else did the same thing.

I was thinking the hammer sculptures made it to a cover, though.
