My apologies to all for my fidgety fingers and lack of proofreading skills. Sigh. Here is the correct information for next Monday and Tuesday, September 28th and 29th.
Southeast Town Hall
Monday, September 28th, 8:00 pm
Hear Ye, Hear Ye
I want to know how you are doing. I want to know how your chapter is doing. I want to know how PTG can help you do better.
This coming Monday at 8:00 pm, I am hosting a Southeast Town Hall where you can Rant, Rave, Praise, or tell me I'm nuts. In return, I promise to listen, keep my cool and tell you everything I know and also what I don't know about what PTG is doing to help you provide quality service for the world's pianos.
You can sign into that meeting HERE. The Passcode is SERVP2021
See you there
Tuesday, September 29th - 8:30 pm Eastern Time
QUICK IMPROVEMENTS FOR NICE GRANDS - Eric Johnson, RPT
Explore some (relatively) quick steps that can be taken to (hopefully) dramatically improve a decent quality grand piano's touch and tone. We will discuss steps that are known to most piano technicians, but often are relegated to major regulation projects and are generally not seen as steps to take during a tuning service call.
Eric is a Registered Piano Technician, having started in piano technology in 1975 at the University of Wisconsin/Madison under the awesome guidance of Joel Jones, RPT. During his career, he served as the National Service Manager for Kimball, the primary North American concert technician for Bosendorfer, and the Director of Artist Services for Yamaha Pianos. He has worked with artists including Garrick Ohlsson, Oscar Peterson, Andre Watts, Chick Corea, Sir Elton John, Sir Andras Schiff, and many others. Eric has been a piano technician in private practice in metro New York City and Charleston SC since 2012.
Eric has a Bachelors degree in Music Composition from the Berklee College of Music and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.

Also, the Board of Directors meets on September 30th at 5:00 pm CST via zoom. Attendance instructions for members will be posted soon. The agenda is HERE. (If the URL times out, the agenda is posted on PTG-L)
