I have a client with a relatively new polished ebony upright whose housekeeper sprays a deodorizer and hit the sides of the piano with it.  i have tried several different cleaners including Meguires with an electric buffing wheel.  Spots are still there.  Here is the spray that was used and its contents.  I think the acetone may be the culprit. You can't feel the spots.  Any thoughts about what to use to clean short of sanding back as usual with polyester finishes and how deep the spots may be?

    Thanks in advance.

Whoa! Huge bummer!  I have not a clue what to do. I thought the polyester would be nearly impervious to this.  I do know that plug in air fresheners will have a detrimental effect on finishes nearby. There was a photo of this in the journal many months ago. Similar chemicals maybe?
