The scam is on again. Got an email from a guy named Kevin stating he is a widower and wants to give away his late wife's Kawai . Very much like the email not to long ago for a free Yamaha with a player system.

I got one of those back in May.  Haven't had any more scam attempts since my last email in response.  This is our correspondence ...

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard, plus it's not logical.  If you can't trust me to ensure the piano is moved safely, how in the world would you trust me to take care of it once it is my possession?

The piano is really special to me. God forbid if it gets manhandled or damaged. As a result, I want the current movers to handle the delivery to whoever wants it. This is more reason I had them store it.

I have a brother that lives in Minnesota.  He is coming down to visit me next month.  He could rent a truck and pick up the piano on the way down.

    Hello Neil,

Thank you for your response. I am in the process of moving from Kansas City to a home with less space in Virginia. I don't think my wife will appreciate it if I sell this piano, so I want to give it out to somebody who is an enthusiastic admirer of the instrument.

The piano was regularly cared for until my wife's passing in November last year. It was bought new and we've had the piano for a little over 3 years and she's in an immaculate condition.

The Piano is now stored with a moving company that offers piano moving and storage services in Kansas City. The movers can deliver the piano anywhere. In any case, the recipient needs to pay moving expenses. In attachment are the photos of the Piano.

Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm a widower whose wife had passion for music but never went pro. I have a Kawai Grand Piano belonging to my late wife for adoption.

No one near me has a room for the piano at this time. Let me know if you would like to have the piano or know anyone who would appreciate the instrument.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Paul

Did anyone else receive an email today (mine was to "undisclosed recipients") offering a free RX-2 Kawai? Similar story to the one above, a widow moving from Kansas City to Virginia wanted to find a good home quickly for her husband's piano. Nice photos.

I still haven't gotten any more of those emails since I last mentioned it on this post.  Too bad ... I really enjoyed messing with those idiots.

Yup. Deleted it.  I have neither the time or inclination to bother with these nuisance emails.

    Fire at Will:

You're in luck. You've contacted the network of piano technicians heeding Trump's call to place a Steinway baby grand piano in every room of his Mar a Lago resort (https://www.maralagoclub.com/guest-suites). Call their number (561-832-2600). He does have an unimpeachable record with his resorts' vendors and contractors. You'll be proud to have contributed to this gold standard of excellence.

    or,

You've reached just the right person. I have recently opened a piano store Piano Salon International, and sell 3-4 pianos a month. Currently, the offers to take possession of a departed spouse's piano are coming in so frequently these days, that I can choose only those offers who pay for the delivery of the piano. I am sorry for your loss, but I'll have to decline unless I'm assured that you're paying for the delivery, and there will be no further costs for me to pay. I look forward to it showing up at my doorstep.
