    I've never been fond of pictures with the lid prop in the wrong position or open with the front of the lid unfolded; as in these pictures that were posted on Instagram.

    it's too bad that a tech wasn't sitting on site to keep things straight.

    Ha! There's one instrument which really benefits from the full unfolded lid or at least half of it 
    for which a hinge was specifically provided. 

    Folded fully back this Beethoven model Broadwood can sound underwhelming but with the forward part or whole of the lid, very significantly captivating.

    Allan , This a pet peeve of mine.  I "love/hate" seeing the front of the grand lid unfolded.  The mover or tech never said a word to the owner.  I spotted a grand with the front lid unfolded and propped up on the show Black Summer on Netflix yesterday.

    Allan was good enough to point out to me that this really is Steinway plumbing the lavatorial depths of marketing well demonstrated by the lid but actually by something else in the photo.
