Has anyone gotten a message from a Kate Schlatter regarding a Yamaha DGB1? I'd like to know if it's legitimate.

    Thanks,

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

My chapter president, Larry Messerly, says the offer of a free baby grand for the price of shipping was a scam. Just a waste of my time; glad I didn't fall any harder for it.

Thanks, Larry and James. This brings to mind my poem "Poetic Justice," which says in part,

    "The builder who cuts corners

Just to see the profits coming

    May get a drafty mansion,

Full of rats and leaky plumbing."

It seems this scam still alive.  I got an email today from Kate Schlatter asking if I wanted a free Yamaha baby grand.

I got the same email yesterday from the same donor. FUHGETABOUTIT.  On a different note I got two emails asking me if I wanted to be a CBD dealer along with some other emails offering free gift cards etc.  Periodically I get emails from someone in China wanting to sell me furs. Expect to see more of these things as Christmas approaches

I got this, too. She offered to send photos and it looked beautiful. But in further inquiries, I was told that the piano was in Arkansas and she was moving to Tennessee ... so why would she be contacting someone in Vermont? "Just pay the shipping charges"? I politely told her that I was sure there are many techs/pianists in Arkansas who'd be interested in such a beautiful piano and I'd be happy to send out feelers.
