Removing the hammer sensor rail is easy. Just four screws and the whole thing lifts right off. Be extraordinarily careful with the optic gray scale flags on the hammers and the keys. Don't touch them. Don't bend them. Don't use any Teflon powder around them. They are extremely sensitive to those kind of things.
If you have not worked on Disklaviers before you should do yourself a favor and contact Yamaha tech support and have them provide some guidance and the tech support manuals. The manuals can be downloaded from their FTP site for free but you need them to point you to them.
Fortunately there are no tricks to regulating the action on a Disklavier. A couple of extra tests you need to make around the jack toe but only to make sure the quite mode is working correctly. You MUST know how to properly adjust the pedals and how to run a full calibration when you have it all back together.

I need to regulate and re-weigh a 2001 C3 Disklavier grand action. Can someone fill me in on removing the electronics from the action stack? I have no problem pulling the action out of the piano. Thanks. Gary Ford
