There is a very old saying: Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.

I recently sent out some information about quercetin, zinc, and COV-2 quoting something I sent to my cousin.

The first link to a YouTube by Dr. Seheult turns out to be a link to Yulianna Avdeeva playing the Wanderer Fantasy.
Now, she plays the Wanderer Fantasy extremely well ----- but it says nothing about how coronavirus takes over
    cell functions.

The real one, "Update 32" by Dr. Seheult is here:

The second YouTube, "Update 35" mentioning quercetin and hydroxychloroquine, is here:

    So Ms. Kline,
On March 10th you posted a video about zinc and chloroquine. Yesterday the President of these United States was on the Teevee machine talking about the same thing. Do you have a secret Superhero persona you've been keeping from us?

gegen Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens.
I remember how my parents would say this while looking at me and then sigh heavily.

    <and then sigh heavily>

Karl, that's hilarious! I think I picked the saying up from Isaac Asimov.

The only superhero persona here belongs to Dr. Seheult who puts out these daily updates. Best I've found.

What our fabulist in chief tweeted about on Saturday was a combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, an antibiotic. Not the combination discussed on this forum I don't think. These two drugs together have a known side effect that can lead to arrhythmia. and sudden death.
Please do not rely on our president for medical advice. (or your piano tuner for that matter)

I agree that Medcram is good information, clearly explained. And here's one by Medcram on vitamin C: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RA7obbfGg_o

    I
t's astonishing to me that so many people dismiss vitamin C as a fairy tale when we have good evidence that it works in clinical settings, that its effects are biologically plausible (vasopressor and powerful antioxidant) and that it's plausible enough so that there's a large clinical trial testing its use in treating sepsis (and that includes lung sepsis-- hello, COVID-19.) And, it's remarkably safe.

I say that vitamin C, zinc, and chloroquine (and quercetin? sorry, haven't been keeping up) should be on the evening news. Yet I doubt the evening news will have a peep about vitamin C. Probably nor quercetin either, since that's a (gasp!) plant flavonol.

During these times the medical community doesn't have time to wait for the results of clinical trials. It needs to rely on clinical practice and compare notes and see what's working-- and yes, proceed cautiously. This is common sense and you don't have to have an MD degree to understand this.  It seems to me that "what might work" is being summarily dismissed.

Don, so far everyone is talking about the quinine relatives, especially chloroquine. The only mention of quercetin is that one update (#35) from Dr. Seheult.

I'm taking it every day, going through the capsules which have 250 mg each with some bromelain. The powdered quercetin arrived yesterday and I'll try dissolving some in olive oil soon to see how it goes.

I'm also taking vitamin C (not megadoses, though, but I would if I were to catch COV-2), Jarrow's Zinc Balance, and a few other supplements. Staying home, of course. Yesterday I went to get 9 gallons of filtered water from the car (had been there a few days) and saw neighbors. One had talked with another neighbor who is a male nurse. He said there are three cases in Corvallis. Seems awfully close, all of a sudden ... but no need to go anywhere for a long time. Having a paid-for well stocked house is a tremendous blessing at a time like this. I keep thinking of those who live hand to mouth, will rely on merciful landlords to stay in their rentals, and who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.
