Does anyone know of a source for black colored keytop material for use on natural keys? Or white colored sharps? I have a customer who wants a reverse color keyboard.

    Thanks,

    -Dean

Is Mike still in business. None of his phone numbers or websites work, as far as I can tell. Has anyone worked with him in the recent past?

I don't know if it is feasible, but could you go old school and mill a set out of ebony and top the sharps w/ivory?

I'm wondering the same, Jim.  Haven't been able to get in touch with him for a while.

    Dean,
The extra bass keys on the Bosendorfer 290 and 225 are half reversed. The naturals are black as well as the sharps.
I believe those keys are made by Kluge. Perhaps you could get a sheet of the material from them.
At least that would get you half way there.

Wow, that's a great idea. Hadn't thought of that. I order from Kluge twice a year through Pianotek. Will check, I think Bosendorfer uses Tharan, but black Ivoplast would be fine also.
