    Hello all,

Any idea what this part is called? It goes on the back of an upright pull-out-style fallboard. I assumed it was called something like fallboard hinge but can't find a match on the supply house website.

I'm not sure what the term is, but if you're looking to replace the broken metal clips, a quick fix can be made from the nylon DC water fill tube holders.

    Benjamin,
The broad industry definition of such a part is, "pillow block", but I doubt you will ever find an exact replacement from the piano supply houses.

I replaced a couple of these a while back and ended up using this cable clap thing. Got it from a local hardware store, not Amazon. It worked pretty good!

This should do it. Baldwin used them on Acrosonics etc. Had the good sense to make them out of metal.
Apparently that rod is called the fall rod and those are fall rod clips

A lot of American consoles and spinets used them in the 60's and 70's, probably a lot of derelicts around where they can be salvaged.

Thanks for everyone who replied. I found several options at the hardware store under "D Clamp". Should at least get me going in the right direction. Thanks again!
