Well Temperament: A temperament that makes every key usable.

Equal Well Temperament: A temperament that makes every key usable and has identical semitones throughout.

Unequal Well Temperament: A temperament that makes every key usable and does not have identical semitones throughout.

    How about?

Equal Temperament: A temperament that practically makes key irrelevant as each note contains all others.

    The following definitions are simpler.

Equal Temperament: A temperament that has identical semitones throughout.

Unequal Temperament: A temperament that does not have identical semitones throughout.

Hmm. I think that unequal can be expected to deliver a key colour whereas your modified equal temperament which offsets one set of tones with just two sizes of semitone does not and is a pseudo-equal.

    Paul Klaus has nailed ET
"Equal Temperament: A temperament that practically makes key irrelevant as each note contains all others"
giving rise to Unequal as the obverse.

    Best wishes

    David and Roshan-
You are both very interested in your own thoughts, and have posted extensively and repetitively about them on other public piano forums.
It seems you are each convinced that you have discovered something so important that you will repeat it endlessly, attempting to convince others to think just like you.
This is not the purpose of this discussion group.
May I suggest that you contact each other and continue your discussion privately?
    Thank you.

Ed: You suggest R&D chat private. Me too?

Regardless of what you think of my somewhat tongue in cheek definition of ET here, would you please answer my aural verification question on PTG-L?

Ed,  re David and Rashan....yes indeed I have  multiple times   been about to put pen to paper  to suggest likewise, maybe something for them to mull over  together while  ice fishing in some deserted lake location, that should give them enough time to sort out the Definition of ET or maybe not!.......
