Hello all, this question is for people who have installed the vertical backside system of damp chaser (preferably recently).  I am going to be doing my first installation of this type, I have experience with grand systems and regular vertical systems.  The instructions are rather vague in a couple of areas, notably about the drilling of the hole in the bottom board.  The illustration shows holes in both the bottom and the back (soundboard), with no explanation really.  Is it a choice?  if so, which is preferable?
It also talks about guiding the main power cord out the top under the lid.  This seems kind of dangerous to me, wouldn't the lid pinch the cord?  Especially on pianos where the lid snaps down tight?
The instructions they sent are also older than the system; the Smart Plugs are different from the ones in the illustrations.  They don't open and snap closed.  Instead they have a cap that slides off to the side, and it's a bit unclear how to thread in the cord.
There are no pictures of the "angled clips" or where to place them.  I'm guessing you would screw them to the braces and them bend them to accept the dehumidifier bars.

I recently installed a grand system and the instruction booklet was full color with good photos and clear instructions.  I was disappointed that the instructions for this system were the old kind with black and white drawings, very difficult to see any detail.
Anyway, hope someone has some experience to share!
    Thanks!!

I suggest you contact Dampp Chaser and talk with Kelly Hollifield. I am not sure the backside installations are frequently done or perhaps the updated versions never made it into the box. I agree with putting a cord through the lid . On vertical installs I will run the cord up a side of the case securing the cord with clips and then run the cord through the opening between the kick panel and under the keybed. If there are opening already and the cord plug will fit through them i pass it through. I avoid drilling holes in the soundboard
