I have recently acquired an 1880 Hornung Moller grand piano built in Denmark and am in the process of rebuilding it - has anyone worked on this piano and would be willing to answer questions as I forge ahead with the rebuild - thanks, Stan

You might need to reach out to someone in Denmark to get a better idea where to get parts, how to evaluate the difficulties ahead and what the challenges will be. Something that old is probably going to be a total rebuild involving lots of planning and cost as well as frustration. What type of action is in it ? do you plan on replacing it or trying to refurbish/repair ?

I've found someone in Norway who has worked on these antique pianos.  We're communicating via email.  The action is quite different with whippens attached to end of keys and unique hammer shank and drop regulation (see pics)

You'll need the Bechstein Offset Screwdriver form Jurgen. I see it has adjustable friction hammer shanks.
