Is there anyone in the Tucson/Phoenix area you would recommend to do a restring of a mid 19th century Blüthner? That is, a restring appropriate to the piano, not a modernization.

    Hi, Fred,

I don't know if he's still active; but I would ask Brent Fisher about
    taking this on.

    Kind regards.

A few years ago I had heard Brent moved somewhere north. I don't find any contact info for him anywhere.

Thanks to those who responded privately. It turns out it is 1963 (mistyped email), so he just needs modern wire. For 1863, I would have recommended going with Paulello wire, measuring speaking lengths and entering into his spreadsheet to determine appropriate type(s). For that era, modern wire is too stiff, and will have an overly metallic sound.
