That might be an alternative. We need to quit the nonsense of aural V ETD testing. I'm really tired of the which is better! The general public doesnt care, nor can notice the 1 or two cent variations in pitch from here to there. I grow very weary of this argument on which is better. Some people like a stretched out octave in the high end, (Itzack Pearlman for example), some only care for exact unisons (George Winston). I tune aurally and have done so since studying with Steve Brady nearly 30 years ago and don't plan on changing.
So what: RPT-A (for aurally) and RPT-E (for EDT assisted)? Why not just ignore any differentiation and if you pass the test, then so be it? We can design a test for either. Why is this not possible?
My 1 cent flat or sharp!
